How this Blog was previously described
Tommy, Sara and baby Egan set off for a grand adventure: 80 days in Belize! Packed up much of the house, put it in storage, found some peeps to take care of the house and pets, rented a ramshackle beachfront cabin via the internet and bing, bam, boom! They took off to sunny Belize. These are their stories...

Day 1, December 8, 2009
We woke up at Carmen's house (Tommy's mom) in Spring, TX and finished the last bit of packing. My mom came by and hung for a bit and then Carmen dropped us at IAH for a 1:30pm flight to Belize City. We were talking at the airport about what a pain the taxicab, watertaxi route was going to be with the extra bags, so I called Tropic Air (local Belize airline) and made reservations for us to hop onto a small plane to take us straight to the island. $63 US per person and the baby rides free. In times previous, we each just had a small carry-on backpack and would get off the plane and grab a taxi $25 US and about 25 minutes to the water taxi ($7 US, 45 minutes to the caye). Not a bad deal but MAN, OH MAN, was that plane ride sweet! In just 10 minutes we landed in a spot only a short walk from our house. Tommy and I looked at each other when we were standing on the airstrip and we were both like: "I'm gonna cry." And then we started laughing because it was freaking REAL and we were here.
A guy in a golf cart arrived to take our bags to our place and, just as the sun was setting, we were walking into our little house on Caye Caulker, Belize. Egan had his feet in the water before our bags were unloaded.
